Venice – 30 mins away
Venice is quite a unique city, considered by many to be the most beautiful in the world.
With its ancient and poignant charm, Venice is also one of the world capitals of contemporary art.
Its immortal and mysterious soul is made up of 118 islands, joined by over 400 bridges and separated by canals that serve as maritime roads, perpetually ploughed by gondolas and boats.
To say that it is full of art treasures is even irreverent: here, romantic charm and history are unique in the world.
Padua – 20 min away
The suggestive Prato della Valle, the basilica of Sant’Antonio, the church of Santa Giustina, the Palazzo della Ragione, Piazza delle Erbe and the Scrovegni Chapel. An itinerary that does not betray expectations. Not even those of the palate.
Padua is at the heart of Veneto. Located between Venice and Verona, a stone’s throw from the Euganean hills, it is a particularly dynamic and creative city. Centre of great artistic and cultural traditions, an important university city, it is enlivened by a rich network of events which range, throughout the year, from cinema to theatre, from music to art, from sport to folklore.
The church of Santa Giustina stands on Prato della Valle, the largest square in the city and among the largest in Europe. The view offered by the square, with its configuration dating back to the end of the eighteenth century is extraordinary, characterized by the central ‘Isola Memmia’, elliptical in shape and surrounded by a canal decorated with a double ring of 78 statues of famous people.
Another unmissable religious treasure in the historic centre is the basilica that the Paduans know as “il Santo”. The Pontifical Basilica of Sant’Antonio, built between 1232 and the mid-14th century, houses the relics of the saint and his tomb and is among the most revered sanctuaries in the world.
Abano Terme – 30 min away
A tourist destination for more than 2000 years for its thermal waters.
Abano Terme, the most important and ancient thermal centre in Europe, stands in an enchanting position at the foot of the Euganean Hills and right in the centre of the Veneto region.
Its name comes from the Greek “Ã ponos” and means ‘takes the pain away’. We find the true vocation of the city right there in its name.
The municipal territory covers an area of 21.57 sq km and is mainly flat, on average 14 meters above sea level, except for some hills, such as Monte San Daniele on whose summit stands the pleasant Monastery of the Benedictine nuns, easily reachable even on foot from the spa area and Monte Ortone, at the foot of which is the homonymous village of Monteortone, which grew up around the Sanctuary of the Madonna.
Chioggia – Sottomarina – 20 min away
Sottomarina is but a few kilometres away from Venice, Padua, Vicenza, Verona and Rovigo, a strategic position to become an easy tourist destination. With its Lungomare, a 2km long promenade with numerous seafront hotels on one side and the entrance to the bathing establishments on the other, and the entertainment venues, you can breathe the typical holiday atmosphere of seaside resorts.
Do not overlook the downtown area, which is particularly pleasant thanks to the three main squares: Piazza Europa, Piazza Italia and Piazza Todaro and the numerous shops and boutiques that allow you to have the best brands and the latest trends.
Sottomarina today enjoys a beach that extends beyond the mouths of the Brenta, up to those of the Adige. Among the beaches of Sottomarina, Isola Verde is renowned for its sandy soil rich in minerals used in therapeutic treatments and is characterized by modern bathing infrastructures surrounded by greenery.
Jesolo – 1h away
Lido di Jesolo is the destination par excellence due to the presence of countless attractions for families and visitors.
Jesolo features a breathtaking landscape of 16 km of golden beaches, which offer a wide range of tourist attractions throughout the year but become particularly lively during summer. With an offer that includes water sports, restaurants, bars, shops and nightlife, Jesolo is the perfect destination for those looking for a beach holiday full of adventure and fun.
