An inteview with Kenshi Yonezu about the upcoming Pale Blue single, how to represent the story of daily life, the shallowness of love songs, and discomfort with increased comfort.
(My site’s still dealing with heavy traffic, so refresh and keep trying if it doesn’t load.)
WARNING: This game contains plenty of death and blood, and deals with heavy subject matter. Discretion is strongly advised.
Your Turn To Die -Death Game By Majority- (Kimi ga Shine) is a freeware negotiation/horror/adventure game by Nankidai made in RPG Maker MV. It has been updated with the rest of Chapter 3, Part One.
(If you’re playing in-browser and have played before, you may need to refresh to get onto the new version, particularly if you see the old title screen. Also, it may load slowly due to heavy traffic, so for the time being, I would recommend the standalone download if possible.)
Sara Chidouin returns home from school late one night to discover that something’s gone terribly wrong.
When she comes to, she finds herself, her friend Joe, and 9 other people trapped in a mysterious place.
Placed in life-and-death situations, they must come to an agreement about what they should do - and who should die.
This update completes Chapter 3, Part One. Chapter 3, Part Two will be the end of the game.
If you lost your save, you can continue from any part (including Section B), picking the important branches, by using the Chapters function.
The Case Book of Arne is a mystery-solving adventure game by Haru Murasaki made in RPG Maker MV, about a noble girl thrust into the world of the supernatural. (This release covers Case 1 of an ongoing series, including a between-cases intermission part. I translated it, of course.)
One fateful night, Lynn Reinweiß, a young noble girl and vampire fanatic, wanders into the town of Lugenberg, home to many non-human creatures.
There, she finds herself in the offices of the vampire detective Arne, and requests his assistance in looking into her father’s actions.
Yet before long, tragedy strikes, and Lynn’s world begins to forever change…
The gameplay is generally straightforward, taking you through a mystery plot and providing clues to solve the mystery. There are occasional minigames and reasoning segments, often offering minor rewards for good performance.
Teil 4 (Interlude) has now been released as DLC for the base game! It’s a somewhat shorter, different kind of chapter that bridges the gap between Case 1 and 2.
Hi! I'm Katelyn (she/her), but you can call me vg, vgperson, or vghime. I'm the popularly-elected Princess of Vocaloid and a prolific translator of Japanese.
This blog is primarily about translated content, but if there's no source and it doesn't look like it's a translation of something, I probably made it myself. (An "#original ___" tag is a guarantee that it's, well, original.)
Feel free to ask me questions via Tumblr. Or you can send an email to vghimmel at gmail dot com.
About Asks
Ask me anything!!! You can point out typos, mistakes, or just awkward parts in my translations so I can fix them and improve. You can ask about my original stories and games and other stuff I've made. Anything. I won't mind.
Generally I reply to asks privately, but if the answer is something that would be helpful to others too, I'll make it public. So if you really don't want your ask publicized, be sure to indicate that.
Common Questions
If you have a question about a game, make sure it isn't answered on the download page. Look for the game's translation notes if you're wondering how I translated a thing.
If you want to know what games I'm planning to translate, this is the most I can offer.
If Chrome or other virus-checking software is claiming that my game downloads are malicious, all I can do is tell you that they're actually perfectly safe. Either ignore the warning, or use the mirror (which shouldn't have that problem).
