Asparagus Verticillatus (Liliaceae)
$18.00
An ornamental variety of asparagus from Siberia. A twining vine to 15 ft with narrow 2 in. leaves that turn yellow, and is covered with red berries in the Fall. The small purple shoots can be eaten like its tastier cousin. It is a dioceous plant (meaning two houses). Only the female produces the berries and needs a male to do so. A beautiful and unique addition. Likes sun, and rich, well drained soil.
