Reviews
The WiFi is terrible and only available in the lobby when it works as often it does not work at all.
The lines are long and the buildings/rooms are run down. The AC blows warm...
The majority of the staff do their best but are clearly underfunded. The nicest thing I can say is that I did not see any of the cockroaches mentioned in other reviews.
Best avoided at all costs.
It is worst than the reviews which were pretty awful to start with! The rooms are basic with A/C and reasonably clean, but there was no hot water at all in a shambles of a bathroom - oh and the carpet stank! The food was worse than basic - chips and pasta and salad, which was always running out as they clearly do not have the capacity to keep the counters replenished. We stayed one night and left after finding another hotel nearby for the rest of our week's stay.
The clientele left a lot to be desired- mostly either Russians or other east Europeans - which I don't have a problem with - but their manners (or should I say lack of manners) curtsey, general behaviour and attitude left a lot to be desired. A very unfriendly and intimidating bunch of people who just did not believe in general curtsey or politeness - just barged in cutting in queues and just plain rude!
We came back on the last day to check out and got talking to some English guests who said some of the guests that arrived the day before were sleeping on the poolside loungers for the night as they did not get a room due to double-booking errors by the hotel! One couple told us that the first room they got allocated had to their horror, blood on the walls and the headboards!!!! So they asked to be moved and then got a reasonable room.
So - in conclusion - avoid at all costs but if you do end up there, just go for room only as the all inclusive (which we paid for) is not worth it at all. There are some lovely restaurants in the nearby area and along the beach which serve really good food.
On the plus side - this hotel has 3 good swimming pools and the grounds are quite decent and also it is not far from the beach and the town centre. There is also on-site, a fantastic family run hair/beauty salon for men and women and next door there is a really good Spa offering all sorts of treatments. We used to come back for these 2 activities during the week from the boutique hotel that we moved to as it was walking distance.
