If you own the older Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt or Galaxy J7 Pro handset then Samsung has got a good news. Samsung release Android 9.0 Pie-based One UI update to the Galaxy J7 Nxt and Galaxy J7 Pro phones. Both the phones were launched in 2017 and came with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The software update also adds the latest May 2019 Android security patch for both smartphones.
Samsung is rolling out the update in batches over the air. If you own the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro or Galaxy J7 Nxt then head to Settings menu and check for the latest Android update. The software package over 1GB in size and users are recommended to backup their phone data before hitting the update button.
Meanwhile, Samsung has rolled out Android Pie update to the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones that were launched earlier this year. Both the smartphones came with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and at the time of the launch the company announced that both the devices will receive Android Pie update. The Samsung Galaxy M10 update has a build M105FDDU1BSEA and weighs 926.72MB in size. Whereas, the Galaxy M20 update has build M205FDDU1BSE6 and is 1883.20 MB in size.
The Android Pie update brings along the Samsung One UI visual changes and features like New system navigation, Smart Text Selection, Redesigned Quick Settings, Simplified Volume Controls, New Dashboard, App Timer, New Do Not Disturb mode and Wind Down feature.
Meanwhile, Samsung has just launched the Samsung Galaxy M40 in India at Rs 19,990. The device comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy M40 offers a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-O display. Apart from the punch hole display, there is another USP in the Galaxy M40. This the first phone from Samsung to offer “Screen Sound” technology.
