Syngonium podophyllum (Syngonium White Butterfly)

This delicate vine is aptly named white butterfly with its green, delicate arrowhead shaped leaves dusted in white. The Arrowhead Plant is an easy-care plant and is very low light tolerant. When you bring this beauty home it will most likely be compact and standing upright, but as it starts to grow you will notice it taking on a life of its own. Giving this creeping vine a trellis, stake, or moss pole may give it some structure, or you can let it do its thing in a hanging basket.  

Light: Syngonium will tolerate extremely low light spaces, however they will have brighter coloring if they are given more indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, it will scorch the delicate leaves on this vine.

Water: Arrowhead Vines do not like to completely dry out between watering. Allow the first couple inches of the soil to dry before watering again. If you skip too many waterings with this plant it will show it, so try to be consistent.

Humidity: Although adding humidity to your space is not necessary for an Arrowhead Plant, they would sure be happier if you did.

NOTE: Syngonium are toxic and should be kept away from children and pets
