Hello crafters, a few weeks ago I signed up to so a faux postage mingle at Oriental Stamp Art, we each had to make 10 fake postage stamps and mail them to another OSA member, I found this quite addicting, I made a ton:
Here is how I made the faux postage:
After you have inked and stamped over the mask, remove the mask and cut apart with stamp-edge scissors. These are only to be used as decorations, not to trick the postal system. Here I used some to decorate a card:

That is so funny to see your faux postage stamps here today Lindsay, because coming up this week I am doing a tutorial on how to make real postage stamps into polymer clay stamps. Would work for faux stamps too of course. With all the Christmas mailing soon to be happening, we both must have postage on the brain! 🙂

I really enjoy making faux stamps. When I get an interest I try to design a stamp set around it. I just made a 54 stamp set of faux postage stamps. You can make stamps from France, Italy, USA, Australia, Germany, Mexico, Canada, and Nederlands. Stop by and visit.
