Begonia 'Sally Savelle' is a new rhizomatous hybrid created by Randy Kerr.
It was named for American Begonia Society past president and active member Sally Savelle of Concord, Mass. This is a cross of B. versicolor x B. U489.
The medium sized oval leaves are silver with olive green main veins. The back of the leaf is red and the leaf margin has tiny hairs. It has a compact growth habit. The petioles are covered with red hairs. Give it a little extra humidity and it will make a great house plant.
The flowers are bright pink and have short pink hairs on them.
