2 There lived a young boy named Narcissus. A young lady named Echo lived close to Narcissus.

3 Over the years Echo fell madly in love with Narcissus but, Narcissus did not know. He picked on her a lot and she ran away crying every time.

4 Aphrodite the goddess of love saw how mean he was being. She changed it…

5 Every time Narcissus looked at his reflection in the pond he fell madly in love with himself. Ooh. I’m so hot!

6 So when Narcissus was on his daily walk he went past the pond and saw his reflection and fell in love. He stood there and stared. Oh la la!!!

7 Narcissus could not stop looking so he got closer and closer and DOWN he went. Straight into the pond.

8 Narcissus could not swim so he drowned and died. A flower was laid at the pond where he drowned. Echo put it there, although she loved him she hated him as well.
