Planting Tips

When selecting a location for Pulmonaria 'Spot On,' choose a site with dappled shade to partial sunlight, where it will thrive in moist, well-draining soil. Ensure proper spacing between plants to allow for adequate air circulation and prevent overcrowding.

Watering

Pulmonaria 'Spot On' appreciates consistently moist soil, especially during the growing season. Water deeply and regularly, particularly during periods of drought or high temperatures, to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.

Mulching:

Apply a layer of organic mulch, such as shredded bark or compost, around the base of the plant to help retain moisture, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature. Mulching also adds organic matter to the soil as it decomposes, enriching its fertility over time.

Pruning:

Remove spent flowers promptly to encourage prolonged blooming and prevent self-seeding. Additionally, prune any damaged or discolored foliage as needed to maintain the plant's overall health and appearance. In late fall or early spring, consider cutting back the entire plant to rejuvenate growth and remove any dead or diseased foliage.

Fertilizing Guidelines:

Pulmonaria 'Spot On' is a relatively low-maintenance plant and typically does not require heavy fertilization. However, you can apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to provide a gentle boost of nutrients as the plant begins its active growth phase.
