Gilded Hearts ™ Cercis has bright heart-shaped golden foliage that will not bleach or fade in full sun. The perfect small tree, growing 15-20' tall and wide for small areas, produces clusters of bright-pink flowers in early spring before the golden foliage emerges. A super hardy selection, Gilded Hearts ™ Cercis thrives from zones 6-9 and will especially good in the hotter Southern regions zones 8-9 from Florida to Texas. There are very few golden plants or trees, if any that will outperform this lovely tree for looks, growth, and blooming characteristics. Gilded Hearts ™ Cercis is a super beneficial pollinator also, adding an abundance of opportunity for bees and butterflies after a long winter.
Care
Gilded Hearts ™ Cercis is an easy to grow tree. As a shrubby tree it can take trimming to hold a uniform shape or left alone for a more natural effect. If trained as a single tree simple shaping of crossed branches will keep the limbs strong and straight.
