Sonic Adventure Wall Scroll

Hey everyone, just a quick update for my own convenience, much as I did with the t-shirts. I need to hang a basket in this corner, which partially obscures this scroll, so I figured I’d take the picture to post now so it won’t be more difficult later.

As you can probably tell from the logo, this scroll was made to promote the first Sonic Adventure game. I realize I don’t have a scale object in this photo, and while I haven’t actually measured it specifically, it’s somewhere in the vicinity of 24x36 (I believe it’s a tiny bit smaller). I got this at a convention back when I was in high school, and knowing what I paid for things at cons at that time, I don’t think I paid more than $15 or $20 for this item. It’s made of the same silk-y canvas-y material that most scrolls are made of these days.

I will say that it’s always been one of my favorite wall hangings, if just because you don’t have to damage a scroll with pins in order to hang it. Beyond that, I’ve always enjoyed it because I think the design is clean and simple, with a relevant yet subtle background. I often find posters and scrolls (of any kind) to be overworked, so for me, this is a big plus.

I believe there are two other scrolls in this series, but I’ve never actually encountered one myself. I’m just happy to have this one.
