Aronia Berry (Dwarf)

A compact version of aronia berries Viking and Nero. This berry bush stays about 3ft tall and wide. A great space saver for such a high antioxidant producing berry. Also known as a chokeberry, it can be used to create small hedges and for erosion control. A bonus is that this hearty little bush can handle just about any soil quality, is deer resistant and tolerant of salty seaside landscapes. When perfectly ripe the berries have a sweet almost wine like taste to them. The aronia bloom white flowers on old wood so keep that in mind when pruning. They grow best in full sun and are hardy to zone 3.
