Native Range: Endemic to the West Indies (Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti).

Map of Locations [currently Florida only]

History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for sandy coastal ridges and dunes in the northwestern Commonwealth (Grand Bahama, Andros, New Providence, Eleuthera). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 324, with illustrations) for grassy dunes along coasts nearly throughout the Commonwealth (regions 10-6, 4, 3).
