Kashkin

$4.99

This interesting Air plant is native to either Bolivia or Peru or possibly both. Not much is known about it. It is probably of hybrid origin. It was named after Mike Kashkin who had a retail nursery in Culver City, CA in the 60s and 70s. It was sent to the Bromeliad Society Identification Center and was named Tillandsia Kashkin back in 1980. It was then named T. Inca Gold by Frank Messina in 2000. Here is the BSI quote: There are tenuous links to Tillandsia jucunda but both Till and Luther agree it is a possible natural hybrid”. Same as T. ‘Inca Gold’ but ‘Kashkin’ has priority. Reg. Doc. 1998
