A Longitudinal Study of Deadwood Function in Lowland Forest Ecosystems S Kao 2024 A timelapse of a fallen log, slowly moving through seasons. It is blanketed by snow then moss through the spring and summer. Small shelf mushrooms sprout, then grow large. A badger naps through the winter.

Rain and snow fall on the log. Ferns sprout around and over it, feeding off the dead wood. Beetles hibernate inside.

The seasons flash by faster, the log itself no longer visible through the flicker of spring - summer - rain - snow, before slowing down again, the log now reduced to crumbled woody debris. Two small pine seedlings sprout from the hollow.

another object i'll have at seattle art book fair this weekend (may 11-12) -- this is "A Longitudinal Study of Deadwood Function in Lowland Forest Ecosystems", it is approximately 2.5" x 30", and it comes inside a (paper) log!

He's big, he's goth...but most of all he's soft.

gosh that second one.. how many times screaming gorgeous till it's enough?? there's something about deep black in a mostly lighter coloured piece that's just amazing AND it's feathers?? and a very cool looking beak? mane (?) looks very soft I agree well maybe the back spikes aren't soft. gotta avoid those and the teeth. are those teeth?? hmm

helloo how does this not have any notes??? it's gorgeous the white background is very well placed. gives the dragon more life and I adore the design are those roots? they feel like roots
