Every year the tournament draws talent from across the state and 2024 is no different. Here are some of the standouts from the first day at Montini High School.
Avery Cooper Avery Cooper 6’2″ | SF Lake Zurich | 2025 State IL exudes athleticism every time she steps on the court. She has not even skimmed the surface of her immense potential. She displays notable strength in the post and never hesitates to drive. Excelling in both offense and defense, she often emerges victorious in rebound battles.
Addison Leonard Addison Leonard 5'9" | PG Lake Zurich | 2027 IL

Freshman Addison Leonard Addison Leonard 5’9″ | PG Lake Zurich | 2027 IL is making an impact. The 5′ 9″ guard exhibits excellent passing skills and a knack for smart shot selection. Her extended wingspan allows her to deflect shots effectively, and she is fully committed to defensive play. Never seems to get rattled in big game situations- She is definitely a player to keep an eye on in this upcoming AAU season.
Lily Spanos Lily Spanos 5’5″ | CG Montini | 2025 IL exuded confidence on the court today. She is a high-energy player with a remarkable understanding of the game. Her selection of shots and her ability to shoot off the dribble were particularly impressive in today’s game. Her beyond-the-arc shot is a sight to behold and helped to set the pace for her team.
Nikki Kerstein Nikki Kerstein 5’8″ | PG Montini Catholic | 2025 State IL ‘s 28-point game was impressive, but what stood out even more was her strategic offensive play. Her drives to the basket were marked by a clever hesitation move, enabling her to out maneuver taller defenders and excel in the paint. Hard to believe that we still have another year of growth from her and seems to be settling in well on this Montini team.
