Distribution
Throughout Europe, N Africa, Aegean Islands, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Turkey, Iran, W Himalaya and southern Central Asia to W China. Occasional in mountain region of Iraq (forest zone, and sometimes in thorn-cushion zone).
Note
E. parviflorum is variable in degree of pubescence but not as conspicuously as is E. hirsutum. In contrast to that species, it is often self-pollinated.
