WATER LILIES (Nymphaea)
The Water Lily (Nymphaea) is a unique aquatic plant that grows in very muddy water with high turbidity. Rich brilliant colors of the flowers range from bright white,yellow,pink,red and purple and variant of them. In ancient Egypt, the Water Lilies had grown wild in the edge of the Nile. Nymphaea caerulea and Nymphaea lotus are two species native to Egypt. In most of ancient temples the flowers described as sacred flowers and symbols of the sanctity of life.
At present, the Water Lilies are cultivated all over the world, decorate the water gardens and ponds.

Teratai (Nymphaea) adalah tanaman air yang unik yang tumbuh di air sangat berlumpur dengan tingkat kekeruhan tinggi. Bunga yang kaya warna cemerlang berkisar dari putih cerah, kuning, pink, merah dan ungu serta varian dari warna-warna itu. Pada zaman Mesir kuno,Teratai tumbuh liar di tepi sungai Nil. Nymphaea caerulea dan Nymphaea lotus adalah dua spesies yang asli berasal dari Mesir. Hampir diseluruh kuil-kuil kuno bunga ini digambarkan sebagai bunga yang sakral dan simbol dari kesucian hidup.
Saat ini, Teratai dibudidayakan di seluruh dunia, menghiasi taman-taman air dan kolam-kolam.
