Description
Spinach seeds Monnopa
An old English variety which is highly resistant to powdery mildew. It has a long harvest period, is high yielding and nutritious. The spinach is mild and has a low oxalic acid content and a delicious nutty taste.
Can be grown both outdoors and all year round indoors in a smart kitchen garden.
Growing instructions for spinach
- Sowing: April-June / August-October (October regarding wintering).
- Sowing depth: 1-2 cm
- Plant distance: 5-7cm
- Row spacing: 25-30 cm
- Germination time: 8-15 days in open country
- Germination temperature: 10-20°C
- Irrigation: Keep the soil evenly moist and otherwise they are not that demanding.
- Harvest: From approx. 2 months after sowing
- Location: Sunny, to partial shade
- Contains: 5 g
- Recommended neighboring plants: Cabbage, carrots, radishes, radishes
- Cultivation advice: Thrives best in a moist, well-drained, nutrient-rich, calcareous soil. Must be watered during drought. Avoid sowing where there have been leaf beets and beets, wait min. 4 years after these varieties.
