Chris Pine’s short shorts are here to stay.

The Don't Worry Darling actor, 43, addressed his affinity for thigh-revealing legwear in a new interview with E! News.

Upon hearing that a recent photo of him sporting short shorts went viral, Pine, who frequently rocks super-short inseams, responded, “Hell yeah" — and said he saw no need to justify his leggy look.

“I don’t think there’s anything to defend,” he told E! News. “It’s called a short, isn’t it? It’s supposed to be short.”

Chris Pine looks distracted as he points towards something while he walks towards his Porsche as he was spotted leaving a dance studio in Los Angeles. The "Star Trek" actor was seen sporting a vibrant yellow hoodie and white shorts, along with a pair of brown shoes.

“Corduroy shorts, short [shorts] … I mean, it’s a vibe. It’s the best vibe. It’s like a Tom Selleck vibe. It’s like [a] ‘70s surfer vibe,” he said, adding that he much prefers that "vibe" to long legwear.

In addition to the Magnum, P.I. icon, Pine also compared the shorts to retro sports uniforms.

"It's like Showtime — Lakers,” he told the outlet. “Would you rather see them with the short shorts and Magic Johnson looking like a basketball player, an athlete, rather than wearing some sort of capri or something on the floor? No. So, I'll be wearing the short shorts.”

But for how long, exactly? Well, at least "until the legs go,” Pine said.

Recently, the Dungeons & Dragons star also addressed another aspect of his style — his hair, which he cut shortly after appearing at last year's Venice International Film Festival.

In March, the Princess Diaries alum told Esquire that his long-hair era came to an end while he was at the festival for the world premiere of Don't Worry Darling.

"I thought I was looking pretty, pretty fly, the hair was long, everything was happening, and my publicist said I looked like Rachel from Friends," Pine revealed.

"I couldn't unhear it," he said of the comparison. "And it was the first day and my first time in Venice … ," pointing to jet lag and other distractions that occurred while promoting the thriller — like the infamous viral Harry Styles "spitting" moment.

Last year, before chopping off the long ‘do, the actor revealed to PEOPLE that he was aware that his hair had developed some fans, joking, "Robert Pattinson, watch out.”
