Emmanuel Baptist Church (EBC) and Women Grow return for the 4th year with The Business of Cannabis Summit inviting surrounding faith organizations and the community to participate. EBC is located in the heart of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn a neighborhood that has gone through a gentrified transition, the church remains connected to its community members. This 4,000 plus member congregation has a long commitment to social justice and fairness to its community.

In 2019, Women Grow and EBC drew over 400 plus people at its first in-person event. Due to COVID the partnership transitioned the summit to a virtual event drawing over 2000 people for its 2-day event in 2021 and 2022. Returning to its origins of connecting with the community the summit is back with an in-person event. Committed to bringing access and education to the community, Women Grow and EBC have invited the New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) to lead all talks for the full day event on Saturday, June 17th from 10am to 3pm. EBC Pastor Anthony Trufant is a member of NYS Faith Leaders in Cannabis Coalition. Attendees will learn about the NYS medical cannabis and Adult-Use programs. This full summit brings political and business leaders, industry experts, medical cannabis healthcare professionals, and advocates together. Women Grow and EBC say now is the time to take action for patients, business owners and career seekers. This summit will highlight those actionable steps.
