Taxonomy: Fam. Papaveraceae// Genus: Fumaria// Species: Fumaria officinalis L. The taxonomic classification is given according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Lidén, 2011).

Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1993).

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe and the Mediterranean to Caucasus and Kazakhstan according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Rocky terrains, ruderal areas, roadsides.

Flowering period: Spring: MAR, APR, MAY.
