The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas laid down on wood. The work is structurally sound. A small border of paper tape visible around the composition. There is some surface dirt with some associated accretions. Soft craquelures throughout. UV light reveals some old horizontal retouchings visible around the legs of the goats. One old vertical retouching between the left vertical edge and the legs of the left goat. Varnish lights up green making a more detailed reading difficult. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
