This fat ‘CHONK’ of a cat is looking for a new home

An enormously fat cat who could pass for a mini-tiger needs a home — and he ain’t lion!

BeeJay — who at 26 pounds weighs more than some bobcats — is up for adoption at a Philadelphia animal shelter, where workers on Thursday said his chunkiness is part of his charm.

“OMG, big boi Mr. B is a CHONK. He’s a chonk of a chonk. He redefines the term. Can you guess how much he weighs? More importantly, can you give him a home? Adopt this jumbo-sized package of fluff & love,” The Morris Animal Refuge tweeted, along with a photo of the flabby furball Thursday.

“Please RT to help this sad-eyed guy find happiness!”

The paunchy pussycat is described as a domestic shorthair and all-around “cool dude” with “a big heart” on the animal shelter’s website.

The post about BeeJay quickly spread across Twitter, with observers pointing out that he’s no itty-bitty kitty.

“I can’t afford that much lasagna,” Twitter user @nsbbcom quipped.

Others said the tubby tabby looks like he belongs at a zoo.

“Who wouldn’t love a house tiger! I’d love to give him a cuddle,” @soith_feargach wrote.

The city’s police department even offered to put him on paw-trol.

“Um, if he doesn’t get adopted (highly unlikely) he’s welcome to join our K9 Unit as its first Feline (he IS a cat, right?!) member,” the Philadelphia Police Department tweeted.

New York City’s fattest feline — a 41-pounder named Barsik, who is so huge, he uses a stroller to get around — went up for adoption at Manhattan’s Animal Care Center in April.
