Cordelia Reynolds (Viola)
Cordelia June Reynolds’ professional debut in Twelfth Night has delightfully necessitated her Vineyard debut! A junior Acting student at Carnegie Mellon University, Cordelia has a fierce love of Shakespeare and being a goofball. This experience has allowed her to dive into both realms, largely thanks to director Katherine Reid. She sends a special thanks to her mother, Liz Himelstein, who introduced her to Shakespeare. Although this is her first time in the role of Viola, she performed in a production of Twelfth Night at Interlochen Arts Camp and is thrilled to undergo a new journey through the Bard’s famous comedy.
Lagan Love (Duke Orsino)
Lagan is happy to be back in the amphitheater for the third year in a row, previously appearing as Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Banquo in Macbeth, and as Athos in The Three Musketeers back in 2014. Having grown up on Martha’s Vineyard, Lagan is excited to help bring Katherine’s New England Illyria to life.
Ellie Brelis (Olivia)
Ellie Brelis is a bicoastal actor, writer, and producer who grew up seasonally on Martha’s Vineyard. She is thrilled to be back with the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse this season. Ellie most recently has been seen touring her solo show, DRIVER’S SEAT, in Los Angeles and New York City on multiple occasions. DRIVER’S SEAT, (winner of the 2022 AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD at the FRIGID Festival in NYC) is a shockingly funny, brutally honest solo show. Buckle up for a twisted ride through OCD, an epic break up, a major break down, coming out, and -just possibly- learning how to drive. To learn more, visit elliebrelis.com
Samantha Cassidy (Maria/Second Officer)
Sam Cassidy is an actor and singer born and raised on Martha's Vineyard. Sam started doing theatre with the MV Playhouse when she was just eight years old, and has gone on to pursue a career in the performing arts. She graduated from Rider University in 2022 where she studied musical theatre and songwriting. Sam is so excited to be back home for the summer working with this amazing ensemble!
Augie Padua (Sir Toby Belch)
Augie recently graduated from college with a degree in computer engineering and decided to put it to good use by performing in a Shakespeare show. He would like to thank Dionysus for guiding him at every turn.
Xavier Powers (Malvolio)
Xavier Powers has acted on Martha’s Vineyard for many years, having appeared in a number of amphitheater shows- most recently as Oberon in last year’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
Lucy Moore (Sir Andrew Aguecheek)
Lucy is an improviser and theatre artist currently based in Boston. They are a performer with ComedySportz Boston, and in January made their off-Broadway debut stage managing a workshop of Toothy’s Treasure, a new musical. In the fall they will be transferring to Emerson College for a BFA in theatre education. Lucy would like to thank the entire cast and creative team for reminding them how much fun acting is.
David Mintz (Fool)
David Mintz was once an accomplished classical guitarist, then a Spanish<>English court interpreter for 30 years, most of those at the US District Court in Manhattan. He retired in 2020. David has done plenty of challenging, stimulating and crazy things -- marathons and ultramarathons, 1000+ skydives -- but never this. He is honored to take the stage with this marvelous ensemble, and ecstatically happy to be making his theatrical debut at the tender age of 65.
Jo Orr (Sebastian)
Jo is happy to be back at the amphitheater for another show. They last performed in Winter’s Tale. After graduating MVRHS in 2019, they went to Wagner College to study music. In their free time, they advocate for queer rights and spread awareness about the anti-trans laws sweeping the country.
Jason Jarrell (Antonio)
Jason Jarrell is a rising sophomore at MVRHS. Most recently they played Harry in the high school production of Chicago. While most of their experience is in musical theater, they branched out last summer with A Midsummer Night’s Dream and had a great time. Jason is excited to be a part of another one of the Playhouse’s productions.
Aiden Weiland (Fabian)
Aiden Weiland is a student from Martha's Vineyard. At the Regional High School he is extensively involved in the music and theater departments. He has most recently starred in leading roles in local productions of Les Mis, The Music Man, and Chicago. He's excited about performing in his first play at the Tisbury Amphitheater with the Martha's Vineyard Playhouse.
Clementine Mead (Captain/Valentine/Priest/First Officer)
Clementine is an excited recent grad from New College of Florida making their debut in the field of professional theater. They are an actor, singer, and playwright and are very excited to be performing in and visiting Martha's Vineyard for the very first time.
