A new home for the kowharawhara

Oct 12, 2021

We finally managed to plant the kowharawhara, perching lily or Astelia Solandri, in the fork of a big totara tree. I think it will do well there as one living in it’s neighbour is massive.

Simon has stacked the first load of firewood for next winter and I remembered to shut the gates so the llamas don’t go for a little wander in the morning.

It’s incredibly windy, too blustery to do any more mulching, so I am retreating inside for a cup of tea.
