Marguerite Daisies / Argyranthemum frutescens

Argyranthemum frutescens ‘Mars White’ – A long-blooming summer flower with pure white daisies accented with a bright yellow eye borne late spring through to autumn. It has finely cut greyish-green foliage and tolerates wind and seaside exposures. Marguerite Daisies are ideal background flowers for formal annual beds. Grows 16-22″ high and wide. Tender Annual (Zone 9-10).

Argyranthemum frutescens ‘Reflection Yellow Cream’ – Unusual daisy blooms of a pale creamy yellow (with definite apricot overtones) accented with a brown eye over mid-green foliage. These fade to near white, giving a two-toned colour effect. Marguerite Daisies prefer cooler weather and flower well in spring and autumn. Grows 18″ high and wide. Tender Annual (Z9-10).

Argyranthemum frutescens ‘Angelic Bordeaux’ – This compact Marguerite Daisy bears anemone-type flowers of a deep rose-pink over finely cut greyish-green foliage. It forms a tight ball-shaped plant and is a good choice for containers. These plants can be lightly deadheaded or trimmed back in summer if they stop flowering. Grows 13-15″ high and wide. Tender Annual (z9-10).

Argyranthemum frutescens ‘Butterfly’ – This Proven Winner selection features robust growth and bright canary-yellow blooms with gold centers. It has good heat tolerance and light green foliage. Marguerite Daisies require full sun in coastal BC gardens, with well-drained soil and monthly fertilizing (when in bloom) to promote flowering. Grows 18-36″ high and wide. Tender Annual.

Argyranthemum frutescens ‘Reflection Pink’ – Large blooms of deep pink (that fade with age) with a prominent dark eye surrounded by a thin ring of yellow and a larger band of bright magenta-pink, flowering over grey-green foliage. These make good seasonal filler between large shrubs and coarse perennials, as they show well at a distance. Grows. 16-20″ high and wide. Tender.
