Gasthof Zur Mauth

We wanted to go to Gasthof z Dampfl. They only had some seats in the biergarten. We didn't like the few. So we walked back to the Hauptplatz. And sat down in the biergarten of Gasthof zur Mauth. Overlooking the other restaurants in the area, it was very comfortable.

We had a Wiener schnitzel and spätzle for kids.
Everything was delicious. The service was excellent.
What I really liked is the fact that none of the dishes had French fries.
In my option to many restaurant use French fries with their dishes. If you want to change , you have to pay extra.
Here you have many dishes with parsley potatoes.

All in all very good and comfortable dinner. And enjoyable experience.

The restaurant located at the ground level of this hotel is probably one of the best in town. While the meal that first attracted us to return to this establishment may have been taken off the menu, they still ofer a great variety of typical Tyrolian classics. The Knoblach sauce (or garlic sauce) can be added to any dish for amazing flavor. Entire slices of garlic in the brown sauce, poured over pork cutlets or a beef filet. I guarantee anything you pick on the menu will be a great choice. Can't wait to go back.
