My Sons first Winter Formal and of course he wanted to go with a Classic Sinatra look (or as currently described "VIBE") and of course he waited until a few days before to communicate this to me.
Friar Tux came through and had my Son looking like a stepping razor!

I've had issues at their Torrance location but never at this place.....until now. They shouldn't be surprised to see this review.

So I came in to rent a Tux for my wedding. Got fitted and everything was fine. Went to my pick up day and everything was good except my pants needed to get hemmed a little more so they said come back tomorrow any time and it should be ready.

I show up the next day (2 days before my wedding) and my Jacket is missing. Amongst all the confusion with staff I was told the girl who sized me up had me try on a suit that was already on loan.

So when it came time to pick everything up I was told that the Jacket I tried on is discontinued and they don't have it anymore.

I was also told they may be able to find me one by Saturday by 1pm (my wedding day). My wedding was not in town nor would I ever want to run the risk of waiting on a jacket hours before my wedding.

So after everything I was given a simple "sorry" by staff with no solution.

The best part is I asked for a refund and I was told No because I paid to get fitted (for a Tux that doesn't exist). Luckily I called corporate who was shocked they refused to give me a refund and issued it back to me. They actually had to call the location to confirm my story.

I had to run out to Downtown LA the day before my wedding and find something last minute. This was by far the Worst experience I've ever had getting a suit for my own wedding of all things. These places simply don't care. I will never go here ever again and I'm happy I've already convinced 3 couples during my wedding who wanted to use Friar to go elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid the stress and go somewhere else or buy suits in LA.

2 weeks ago, my son needed to rent a tux. We came to the Lakewood location and were greeted by a VERY professional and courteous staff. The manager (D Train) fitted him for a tux and my son ended up looking SHARP!!! Everything fit perfectly and the cost was very reasonable. The icing on the cake was when we were taking pictures of him and my sister-in-law and her parents picked him up in not 1, but 2 classic cars! I highly recommend this location and the staff! Thank you!!!

I came in to get a tux for the beavers awards dinner at LA live! Met with Jon Great guy! He really knew the business, took time and care to make sure I was fitted properly and I had the right tuxedo! Excellent customer service I would recommend Friar tux highly!

As a very feminine woman, I decided to wear a tuxedo to a friend's 50th Birthday party. As soon as I walked into the store I was greeted by the staff. Ms. Erin was happy to help me pick out a style that fit my personality. She knew what she was talking about. I highly suggest that you request her services. Thank you Erin!!! I

Editing review, was immediately contacted by the manager who explained they do not load the shoes, another warehouse does. He also assured me the store would check shoes from now on.

Measurements were great, but one of the employees decided to shove a broken shoelace into the shoe instead of putting a new one in. Would not recommend this location.

My 7 year old son needed a suit for a wedding that he was a ring bearer in. I wanted a fitted suit for him and initially went with an Amazon shop, bought a 50 dollar suit that ended up being too big - twice! So I had to downsize and even at size 6 it was too big. I went to a tailor which quoted me $236. I loved their honesty but decided to go with Friar Tux for a rental which was around $200 for everything (slacks, dress shirt, cuff links, vest, bow tie and blazer jacket - ALL PERSONALLY FITTED) - shoes not included.

I went to this location a week before the wedding.
Went in and scanned the QR code, which is at the door, to check in. Probably only waited about 5-10 minutes each time. First visit: got measured, discussed prices and paid for the rental.
The wedding was on a Friday. I was able to do a fit check the Wednesday prior and normally would have taken it home however, everything was shorter or tighter. ***ALWAYS TRY THE RENTAL before leaving. We got measured again and was told to come back the next day (Thursday). We did and everything fit perfectly - no adjustments needed to me made.
Friday - everyone kept commenting on how great my son looked in his suit.
Saturday - brought it all back at 4pm (they close earlier on the weekends). It was an easy drop off - scanned QR code, was then told to hang it on a clothing rack next to the registers and they would email me the receipt - done in 3 minutes.

Small plaza - limited parking. I would arrive an hour before closing on the weekdays and they were always busy (probably due to it being prom season).
All workers were helpful, kind and patient.
Also received tux and accessories clean and pressed - ready to wear.

EDIT as of now still ignored by FT on social media and they have not replied to the email.

Wedding sadly was supposed to be on the worst storm in modern history. EVERY OTHER VENDOR had no issues at all (and almost everyone was closes anyways) but this spot charged the full price. Yes even other suit places had no problems. When contacted they ignored the messages. I bet they werent even opne the day of the storm.,

FIRE SERVICE GOT ME IN AN OUT QUICK. for my wedding on Sunday thank you Arthur I appreciate it !
