Sony Teases Independence Day Sale ShopAtSC Deals, Details About Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PlayStation 5 Bundle, Faceplates and DualSense Out  [Update]

It appears that the Sony PlayStation 5, its DualSense controller and games will be offered at a discount soon as a new sale event has been spotted on ShopAtSC.

This is the Independence Sale event and the promotional image for the sale features a DualSense, which leads us to believe that PS5 consoles and other related accessories and games might go on sale too.

Spotted by games market analyst, Rishi Alwani, the Independence Day Sale art with the DualSense controller has appeared recently on the ShopAtSC website. Furthermore, if you click the banner on the top of the website that says, "Independence Day Sale - Coming Soon!” the page redirects to a product listing for the PS5 disc edition console.

The promo featuring the DualSense and the banner redirecting to the PS5 console product listing are enough evidence to hint that probably all things related to the PS5 are going on sale at the upcoming event. At the moment, no date for the ShopAtSC Independence Day Sale has been announced.

Marvel's Spider-Man bundle, faceplates, and other updates

Alwani has also revealed information about an upcoming PS5 bundle for India. This bundle will include the disc-edition of the PS5 and two DualSense controllers. The retail price for India has been set for INR 58,990, and it will reportedly arrive when the INR 7,500 discount on the PS5 Disc Edition ends.

In terms of the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle, Alwani has heard that this bundle could arrive for the price of INR 59,490 and there will be “super limited stock” for it. Furthermore, the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle, Faceplates and DualSense controller were supposed to go on sale in India along with the rest of the world, but that didn't go according to plan.

A reason for this could be that the Faceplates could arrive as Amazon India Exclusive and if that is indeed the case, then they would be available for pre-order through the upcoming Amazon Great Freedom Festival that arrives in the upcoming week. Players in India will just have to be patient to see what plans Sony has made for them.
