Rhizome creeping to erect. Sterile and fertile fronds different. Fronds mostly in clusters. Segments numerous, set close together, blunt or pointed at the tip. Sterile fronds linear-lanceolate in outline, less than 5 cm wide. Fertile fronds to c. 40 cm long, narrowly-linear in outline.
Will tolerate cool conditions.
