Geranium phaeum ‘Joseph Green’

2024-01-10T15:51:02+01:00 February 1st, 2021|Geraniums|

Geranium phaeum ‘Joseph Green’ is the first ever and only double flowered phaeum. This beautiful geranium with its purple and chartreuse green flowers was discovered by Lynne Edwards in her garden and named for her father who taught her about botany and encouraged her love for plants. In Spring 2017 Lynne Edwards wrote an article about her discovery for The Hardy Geranium Newsletter (a subdivision of The Hardy Plant Society magazine). You can read that article by following the link here. ‘Joseph Green’ is a sterile cultivar so can only be propagated by division which means it can take a while to build up enough stock plants before being able to have enough to sell.
