Spinacia oleracea

Resilient variety. Dark green leaves with attractive contrasting red stems. Red Tabby F1 can be grown for baby leaves as well as when the plant is fully grown. Place in sun to partial shade in porous, humus-rich soil.

Spinach is an extremely nutrient-rich vegetable, packing high amounts of carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron, and calcium.

Direct sowing: Early, as soon as the soil can be cultivated - mid-June and early autumn. Water the soil before sowing. Keep the seed moist until the seeds germinate.

Sow depth, cm: 1-2

Spacing: 5-10 cm / 1 plant per GreenStalk pocket

Location: Sun - partial shade. Should not be sown on planting sites where Swiss chard and beetroot have grown and should only be sown four years after these varieties.
