Finding light for Acajou in your home
Acajou may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Acajou in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Acajou
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Acajou after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Really enjoying this plant, every time I take it down it has some new blooms. This was one of those that caught my eye at the very last minute at the local garden center with the interesting metallic foliage, hidden on a random wooden shelf. It’s been putting out a ton of new growth in the 3 weeks since adopting it! I had no idea what an episcipa was before this, but I’m kind of hooked. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #Episcipa #FlameViolet #FreshLeafFriday

What is "weird" growth behavior? This poor flame violet. I thought she didn't survive shipping, so I babied her. She wasn't doing well so I put her in a terrarium to keep her humidity stable. Then I realized she'd recovered a bit and got tall enough her leaves were on the glass and she started to look sad again. So I put her in her own tiny pot near a bunch of plants I have propagating or on pebble trays and just noticed she's doing this (under the big leaves she came with!). Is this normal or have I totally thrown off her best life 🤣

First flowers are always super exciting 😍 - and another bud bringing up the rear for me. Good girl, Maya!

Why is my waffle plant loosing all its leaves? I don’t over water. Should I repot it in a smaller pot? #WafflePlant #help

My violet flame seems to be dying. Is this a plant that curls up in cold weather or should I do something?

Meet PITA. She is a pain in the a55. She didn’t tell me she was a violet, she just shriveled up her leaves and laughed at me for touching her. I will never touch her again. #ohnooo
