About Dumbcane Tropic Snow
Dieffenbachia was cultivated in England before 1759 and upper Amazon indigenous groups are known to have used their calcium oxalates to make poison arrows. I live in S. California in the high desert. I put her on my patio because it had too many tiny aphids. Can she be an outdoor plant? Lost a lot of rich leaf color and dropping . #Dieffenbachia

What other plant parents say
I started my dieffenbachia from a stem cutting a year ago (2020). I put it in water placed it near a lamp with a full spectrum bulb. It grew roots very quickly! I potted it once the roots were big enough. Since then itās taken off like wildfire! Each new leaf is larger than the other. I love it! Note: Yes, itās low light TOLERANT, but leaves will grow larger with some sunshine.
