About Dumbcane Tropic Snow

Dieffenbachia was cultivated in England before 1759 and upper Amazon indigenous groups are known to have used their calcium oxalates to make poison arrows. Dieffenbachia flowers can generate large amounts of excess heat which botanists believe attracts potential pollinators to the flower's warmth. šŸ

šŸ§ Troubleshooting

When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.

Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.

Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.

Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.

I started my dieffenbachia from a stem cutting a year ago (2020). I put it in water placed it near a lamp with a full spectrum bulb. It grew roots very quickly! I potted it once the roots were big enough. Since then itā€™s taken off like wildfire! Each new leaf is larger than the other. I love it! Note: Yes, itā€™s low light TOLERANT, but leaves will grow larger with some sunshine.
