Career: No. 1 all-time at UNC in rebounds (1,715), offensive rebounds (593) and double-doubles (87) • Scored 2,347 points, second most by a Tar Heel behind only ACC all-time leader Tyler Hansbrough • Tied for first in ACC history with Wake Forest's Tim Duncan in doubles-doubles, is second in rebounds and ninth in scoring • Tied with Duncan for second place in double-doubles in NCAA history and is eighth in rebounds • More rebounds than any player in college basketball since 1964 • Played the most games in ACC history (169) and started more games (168) than any other individual ever played • Second Tar Heel (first since Billy Cunningham 1963-65) and sixth overall to lead the ACC in rebounds three times • Also led ACC in double-doubles three times (second Tar Heel and eighth overall) • Carolina was 62-25 when he had a double-double • Set the UNC and ACC records and tied the NCAA record for double-doubles in a season with 31 in 2021-22 • Shattered the UNC single-season rebound record with 511 in 2021-22.

GRADUATE STUDENT SEASON (2023-24): Third-team All-America (USBWA), first-team All-ACC (AP), second-team All-ACC (ACC panel), finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award (top center) and member of the ACC All-Defensive team • Earned his second first-team All-ACC Tournament award (2021 and 2024, was second team in 2022) • Was third-leading vote-getter for ACC Defensive Player of the Year • Two-time ACC Player of the Week (for Radford/Lehigh and Pittsburgh/Clemson games) • USBWA and Lute Olson Award National Player of the Week and ACC Player of the Week for his play vs. Radford and Lehigh • NCAA.com National Player of the Week for his play in the wins at Pittsburgh and Clemson.

Led the ACC in rebounding (10.3), was second in offensive rebounding (3.2), third in blocks (1.5) and fourth in field goal percentage (.540) • Led Carolina in rebounding and blocks and was second in scoring (14.5) • Made a career-best 78.1% from the line • Scored in double figures 28 times with 20 or more points eight times • Had 19 double-doubles (UNC 14-5) • Carolina was 7-2 when he led in scoring.

2023-24 Game Highlights: Averaged 19.0 points and 11.3 rebounds in the three NCAA Tournament games • Led UNC with 19 points and 12 rebounds vs. Alabama in his final collegiate game • Was the eighth double-double in his 10 career NCAA Tournament games • Grabbed a season-high seven offensive rebounds, his 51st career game with five or more • Had 18 points, seven boards, three assists and two blocks vs. Michigan State • His 27th career 20/10 game in the NCAA first round with 20 points and 15 rebounds vs. Wagner • Passed Phil Ford for second in UNC scoring and surpased the 2,300-point mark in the win over Wagner • Was his seventh consecutive double-double in an NCAA Tournament game and his sixth straight with at least 15 rebounds • Tied Ford for second in UNC all-time scoring with 18 points in the ACC championship game vs. NC State • Grabbed 12 rebounds for his eighth career ACC Tournament double-double, which tied the all-time record • Scored 12 of his 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the second half in the ACC semifinal win over Pittsburgh • Combined with RJ Davis to scored UNC's last 18 points • Tied his season high with six offensive rebounds (also Lehigh and Villanova) vs. Florida State in the ACC quarterfinal • Win at Duke was his third in five games in Cameron Indoor Stadium (2021, 2022 and 2024) • Hit two three-pointers for the first time and finished his Smith Center career with 14 points and five rebounds in win over Notre Dame • His 26th career 20/10 game with game-high 25 points and 12 boards vs. Virginia Tech • Game-high 15 rebounds (fourth time w/15 or more this season) and eight of his 10 points in the second half at Miami • Tied his career high with 10 free throw (10 for 11) and led UNC in scoring (24) and rebounds (13) in the loss to Clemson • Became second Tar Heel ever and first since Charlie Scott in 1970 to total at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists vs. Duke • Was 10 for 13 from the floor at home vs. Duke • Was his third career double-double with at least five assists (Miami in 2020 and UConn this season) • Scored all 10 of his points in the second half at Boston College, including a clutch 15-footer with 4:20 to play and a three-point play with 3:13 remaining that secured the win • Scored 19 points vs. Louisville, most since he had 29 vs. Tennessee on November 29, and had five assists and three blocks • Had 16 points and 11 rebounds in just 16:35 in home win against Syracuse • Game-high 16 rebounds and shared UNC scoring honors with 14 points in the win at Clemson (helped limit PJ Hall to 4 of 13 from the floor and a season-low 10 points • Led UNC with 16 points and added 10 rebounds and three blocks in the win at Pittsburgh • Had 14 points, eight boards and three blocks in win over No. 7 Oklahoma • Tied his career high with six blocks in home win vs. Florida State • Made a career-high 10 free throws, was 6 for 8 from the floor, had three assists and no turnovers and a game-high 11 rebounds vs. 10th-ranked Tennessee • Grabbed 18 boards in the OT loss to Villanova • Game-high 22 points and 20 rebounds vs. Lehigh, his third career 20-point/20-rebound game.



SENIOR SEASON (2022-23)
Earned third-team All-America honors by the Associated Press, USBWA, Sporting News and College Hoops Today • Finished in the top three in voting for ACC Player of the Year for the second year in a row and became the 19th Tar Heel to earn multiple first-team All-ACC honors • First Tar Heel to repeat as first-team All-ACC since Hansbrough (2006-09) • Finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award • NABC and USBWA All-District honoree • Won ACC Player-of-the-Week honors a league-leading three times (for his play vs. The Citadel/Ohio State, Wake Forest/Notre Dame and Boston College/NC State) • Received an honorary ACC Commissioners’ Postgraduate Scholarship.

Led the ACC in rebounding (10.4), offensive boards (4.2) and double-doubles (19), was fifth in field goal percentage (.554) and 11th in scoring (15.9) • Nationally, was fourth in offensive rebounding, fifth in double-doubles and ninth in rebounding • Led UNC in field goal percentage and was second in blocks and third in scoring • Sixteen games with at least five offensive boards • Set the UNC single-season record for offensive rebounds per game for the second year in a row • Carolina was 11-8 when he had a double-double, 8-2 when he scored 20 points, 10-4 when he attempted at least 20 combined field goals and free throws and 12-4 when he attempted seven or more free throws • Scored 20 or more points in five straight games from December 17-January 7 • Season-high 28 points vs. Charleston and Ohio State and season/career best 23 rebounds vs. James Madison • Totaled 54 points in back-to-back wins over Ohio State (28) and Michigan (26) • Made 11 field goals in both games, the first Tar Heel to do that since Brice Johnson in 2015-16 • Drew 5.8 fouls per game with 10 or more three times (11 by Charleston and Pittsburgh in Chapel Hill and 10 by Boston College) • Did not play at Virginia Tech on 12/4 due to a right shoulder contusion, which he suffered in the first half at Indiana on 11/30 • First game missed (only second career) since his freshman seasonSprained his left ankle 1:18 into the January 7 game at Virginia while grabbing an offensive rebound and was unable to play the rest of the game • Re-injured his left ankle in the ACC Tournament vs. Boston College, which limited him to a combined 14 points and nine rebounds in 39 minutes in the two games.

2022-23 Game Highlights: Fourth career double-double vs. Duke with 17 points and 11 rebounds (and four blocks) in the home finale • Made 9 of 10 free throws vs. the Blue Devils, including 6 for 6 in the second half • Tied his career high with nine made free throws • Scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half at Notre Dame • Grabbed five offensive boards in the second half, including a pair in the final three minutes that he converted for buckets in a one-possession game • Double-double vs. NC State (16/14) was his fifth career vs. NC State, which equals the most vs. any team (also Virginia Tech) • Made 8 of 11 FGs vs. Clemson and grabbed five offensive boards •  Had 17 points and 11 rebounds in only 22 minutes due to foul trouble at Wake Forest Led UNC with 14 points and 10 rebounds at Duke, but did not attempt a field goal in the last 12:14 after his dunk pulled UNC within a point at 44-43 • Attempted a season-low two free throws at Duke (other than UVA when he was injured early in the contest) • Four assists at Syracuse, his third game this season with four or more • Drew three fouls by the Orange, the fewest in a game this season (other than Virginia) Went 8 for 11 from the floor and 7 for 7 from the line for 23 points and had 18 rebounds in the win over NC State • Second consecutive game with 18 rebounds vs. NC State (which equals the most by a Tar Heel vs. the Wolfpack) • Set UNC career rebound record with his 17th of the game with 6:54 to play • Was his fourth career double-double vs. the Pack, second most against any opponent (five vs. Virginia Tech) • Recorded first-half double-doubles in consecutive games at Louisville and vs. Boston College • Game highs in points (20), rebounds (16), assists (3) and blocks (1) vs. Boston College • Didn’t practice for two days but started and led UNC with 14 points and 16 rebounds at Louisville • Game highs in points (21), rebounds (13) and offensive boards (6) and added four assists and two blocks in the home win vs. Notre Dame • Scored 21 points and added nine rebounds and a team-high five assists vs. Wake Forest • Second straight game he led UNC in assists • At Pittsburgh, led Carolina in scoring, rebounding, assists and blocks, the first Tar Heel to do that since Luke Maye vs. Tulane in 2017 • Game-high 26 points on 11 of 15 shooting in the 80-76 win over Michigan • Was his sixth career game with 25 or more points • Was 11 for 19 from the floor and had game highs in points (28) and rebounds (15) vs. Ohio State • Was his 16th career 20/10 game and third 25/15 game • Set UNC record for career double-figure rebound games on 12/13 vs. The Citadel • Had 21 points, 13 rebounds and drew seven fouls vs. Georgia Tech • Scored 20 points with 10 rebounds and three blocks vs. Alabama but sprained his right ankle and did not play the last minute of the third OT or any of the fourth OT • Scored 19 points and had a career-high 23 rebounds vs. James Madison • Had 11 points and 11 rebounds in the first half as UNC built a 45-26 lead and added a dozen boards in the second half • Season-high eight offensive boards (one off his career best) and tied his career high with nine free throws vs. JMU (drew nine fouls) • Scored 27 of his game-high 28 points in the second half vs. Charleston (10 of 12 FG in the second) • Drew 11 fouls by the Cougars.


JUNIOR SEASON (2021-22)
Compiled one of the most prolific rebounding seasons in college basketball history • Led Carolina in scoring (16.3), rebounding (13.1), field goal percentage (.569) and blocks (65), becoming the first Tar Heel to ever lead the team in those categories in consecutive seasons • Earned All-NCAA Tournament honors in both the Final Four and East Regional, where he was also the Most Outstanding Player • National Player of the Year finalist (Lute Olson Award), third-team CBS Sports and USA Today All-America, leading vote getter on the ACC first team, second in ACC Player-of-the-Year voting and second-team All-ACC Tournament • One of three players to make the Academic All-ACC team and first-team All-ACC • Also made the ACC Academic Honor Roll for grade point average • Third in the balloting for ACC Male Athlete of the Year.

Became the first player in college basketball history with six double-doubles in one NCAA Tournament • Tied the all-time NCAA single-season record with 31 double-doubles (with Navy’s David Robinson in 1985-86) • Second-most rebounds (99) in NCAA Tournament history and the most since LaSalle’s Tom Gola had 102 in 1954 • Had 41 more rebounds than any other player in the 2022 NCAA Tournament • Third-most rebounds in the Final Four (36) since 1973 • Fourth-most rebounds in a season in ACC history and the first player with at least 500 since 1956 • Shattered the single-season Tar Heel record with 511 rebounds, 95 more than the previous record set in 2015-16 by Brice Johnson (who had 416 in one more game than Bacot) • Tied the UNC record for 20-rebound games in a season with five and set the school record with 32 games in double figures • Became the first Tar Heel with two 20-rebound NCAA Tournament games • Rebounding average (13.1) was the fifth highest in a season by a Tar Heel and the highest since Cunningham in 1964-65 • Led the ACC in all games by 4.94 rebounds per game (the difference between second place and 20th was 2.1 per game) • Averaged 14.1 rebounds in league play, the most since Wake Forest’s Tim Duncan averaged 14.9 in 1996-97 • Broke Duncan’s previous ACC double-double record (29 in 1996-97) and Johnson’s UNC record (23 in 2015-16) • Set single-game records by a Tar Heel vs. Louisville (22) and Syracuse (18) and tied the all-time mark vs. NC State (18).

Led the nation in double-doubles, was second in offensive rebounding (4.2), third in rebounding and 23rd in field goal percentage (.569) • Led the ACC in rebounding, offensive rebounds and double-doubles, was second in field goal percentage, fifth in blocks and seventh in scoring • Also led UNC in plus/minus at +336.

Scored in double figures 34 times with 20 or more points 11 times • Led Carolina in scoring a team-high 14 times • Made 10 or more field goals six times with a career-high 12 vs. Virginia • Blocked five or more shots four times • Tri-captain • UNC’s Athletic Director’s Scholar-Athlete Award • Made the ACC Academic Honor Roll and NABC Honors Court for outstanding grade point average.

Averaged 15.3 points and 16.5 rebounds in six NCAA Tournament games • Set UNC single-game rebound records for regional final, national semifinal and national championship games • Shattered UNC’s single-Tournament record for rebounds with 99 (previous was 69 in six games by Kennedy Meeks in 2017) • Had 38 offensive rebounds (6.3 per game) • Grabbed 15 or more rebounds in the last five games • Tied the UNC record for rebounds in an NCAA Tourney game with 22 vs. Saint Peter’s and became the only Tar Heel with two 20-rebound NCAA games when he had 21 vs. Duke in the national semifinals (Tyler Zeller is the only other Tar Heel ever with 20 or more in an NCAA Tourney game; he had 22 vs. Ohio in 2012) • His 21 rebounds vs. Duke were the most by any player in the Final Four since 2003 and were most ever by a Tar Heel in 21 national semifinals • Became the 12th player in NCAA history with 21 or more rebounds in a Final Four game – the list includes Bill Russell (twice), Elvin Hayes, Lew Alcindor, Bill Walton, Elgin Baylor and Artis Gilmore • Drew 39 fouls in the six games.

Had 10 straight double-doubles from Furman through Virginia Tech, the most by a Tar Heel since Cunningham had 10 in a row in 1964-65, which tied the fourth-longest streak by a Tar Heel • Thirteen-straight games with 10 or more rebounds was the third-longest in UNC history and the longest since John Henson’s 15 in 2010-11.

The only three-time ACC Player of the Week in the league this season (all three awards won during conference play) • USBWA National Player of the Week for Jan. 10-16 • First Tar Heel to win three ACC Player-of-the-Week honors in the same season since Luke Maye in 2017-18 • First Tar Heel to score 29 or more points in consecutive games since Tyler Hansbrough in 2008 • First Tar Heel with at least 29 points and 12 rebounds in consecutive games since Charlie Scott in 1970 • Joined Scott, Cunningham and Rosenbluth as the only Tar Heels ever with at least 29 and 12 in consecutive games • Second Tar Heel to have multiple 20-rebound games in Smith Center history (he had two this season, 22 vs. Virginia and 20 vs. Virginia Tech; May had three).


2021-22 Game Highlights
Led or shared the team lead in scoring (15), rebounding (15), assists (two) and steals (one) in the national championship game vs. Kansas • Played 38:03 despite having sprained his ankle late in the semifinal win over Duke • Re-injured his ankle on a drive to the basket with less than a minute to play, was forced to leave the game and was unable to return • Tied his career-high with nine made free throws in 13 attempts • Recorded his NCAA record-tying 31st double-double when he had 12 points and 10 points in the first half.

Set the ACC record with his 30th double-double of the season with 11 points and 21 rebounds in the national semifinal vs. Duke • Tied the second-most rebounds ever by a Tar Heel vs. the Blue Devils and were the most in a Final Four since Nick Collison had 21 for Kansas vs. Syracuse in 2003 finals in New Orleans.
