Abstract :

One new species belonging to the genus Racinaea (Bromeliaceae) from Ecuador is described and illustrated. The new species Racinaea neillii (subfamily Tillandsioideae) from the province of Zamora-Chinchipe in the Cordillera del Condor region of southeastern Ecuador is related to Racinaea tetrantha (Ruiz & Pavon) M.A. Spencer & L.B. Smith. Distinguishing characteristics between these species are provided. Key words: Taxonomy, Flora of Ecuador, Tillandsioideae Se describe e ilustra una nueva especie perteneciente al genero Racinaea (Bromeliaceae) de Ecuador. La nueva especie Racinaea neillii (subfamilia Tillandsioideae) de la provincia de Zamora-Chinchipe de la region de la Cordillera del Condor en el sureste del Ecuador esta relacionada con Racinaea tetrantha (Ruiz & Pavon) M.A. Spencer & L.B.
