I have a small stretch of garden where I get almost full sun for the whole day in winter and only morning sun during summer, that is where I grow some of my other Neoregelia carcharodon hybrids that need a lot of sun to bring out (and keep) their colours (Fig. 13). You may have guessed the clones of Neoregelia carcharodon are some of my favourite bromeliads, I always have one Neoregelia 'Silver' in a large pot on a pedestal close to my front door, where it gets very good light (Fig. 14). It is about eye level, so I can see its nice silver vase when I walk past. I also love the slight pink tinge that it gets in high light. And when you go real slow with the food and give Neoregelia 'Rainbow Carcharodon' as much direct sun as it can handle, it's also a real show-stopper (Fig....
