From traces for warmth to overdose (3.7% of the finished product according to IFRA 50), Dianthus can be used in virtually every fragrance type. Fraterworks Dianthus is a famed carnation base from the early 20th century.
Anywhere eugenol finds a place, Fraterworks® Dianthus can be used. The spicy clove heat of the opening is balanced with a balsamic vanilla and heliotrope accord that is perceptible through the whole product.
Dianthus is a masterpiece in classical perfume arts which adds richness to even the most modern scents. For a synergistic longer lasting and equally great historic carnation base, we also stock Oeillet.
Warning: This is a raw material for the manufacture of perfumes. Do not consume. Do not apply directly to skin. Keep out of reach of children.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

A gorgeous rich smelling carnation note that penetrates your formula when you need it too and sometimes do not expect it to as well. Used with Oeillet 216, the carnation note just sings. If you’re looking for something in the lines of Caron Bellodgia and YSL Opium, this is carnation you want. It’s beautiful on its own as a soliflore. One will not be disappointed by this base.
It’s like a mix between eugenol, isoeugenol, tonka, clove bud oil! One material that fits all.
