MILWAUKEE (WLUK) -- Bernie Brewer has a new home -- and it's a throwback.

The Milwaukee Brewers unveiled the mascot's new chalet at American Family Field in a video posted to social media Tuesday. The design retains a slide that Bernie uses when the Brewers hit a home run.

The chalet is reminiscent of the structure that stood in the outfield at the Brewers' pervious home, Milwaukee County Stadium. The "makeover" process was documented in a series of humorous videos the team posted of the Racing Sausages and Barrelman mascots "kidnapping" Bernie Brewer so they could work on his home.

The Brewers on Tuesday also announced a new Miller Lite Landing seating section in left-center field. It includes seating with tables, a viewing deck with electronic charging stations, TVs and a seven-foot-tall Brewers logo made of Miller Lite cans for fans to take photos with.

Other improvements include a bar featuring Terrapin craft beers, a recycling program where fans can drop off plastic cups to be made into bottles for Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner and new LED field lights that are more energy-efficient than the previous lights and have entertainment functionality.

The Brewers return to American Family Field April 1 when they host the Minnesota Twins. Attendance will be limited to 25% capacity amid the coronavirus pandemic. Tickets go on sale Friday.

If you can't get tickets, watch the Brewers all season long on Bally Sports Wisconsin. Bally Sports Wisconsin is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, parent company of WLUK FOX 11.
