Ditch Ballard, an experienced English fisherman and owner of Ebro Mad Cats fishing service, recently added another thrilling chapter to the river’s legendary tales. On a freezing February night, Ballard found himself in a gripping battle with a colossal catfish that pushed his skills and endurance to the limit.

Initially targeting carp from his small boat, Ballard suddenly felt a powerful tug on his line. His 10-foot rod bent deeply, and he watched in amazement as his reel’s line rapidly disappeared. With years of experience under his belt, Ballard immediately recognized that he had hooked a massive wels catfish!
