Description

For sale is one well-rooted Sucrette fig plant in a 3"x 8" Stuewe & Sons treepot, grown in my own custom organic growing mix.

Sucrette is a premier, light, honey berry fig that comes to us from the collection of Pierre Baud in France. It is a small-to-medium-sized fig that has light green skin and medium red pulp.

As the name would suggest, Sucrette is remarkably sweet, with a complex flavor of co-mingled sugar, honey, berry, and cream, a combination of unmatched smoothness among premier figs. The skin imparts the slightest touch of tannic bite, adding to the overall complexity of this exceptional variety.

This naturally small tree is well-suited to confined spaces and container culture.

Sucrette is a common fig: it does not require caprification by the fig wasp in order to ripen excellent fruits.

I guarantee that this plant is healthy and true to name. The plant shown in the pictures is the plant that you will receive.

I will ship the plant to you by USPS Priority Mail within five days after you complete your purchase. Please note that I sell to buyers in the US only. Sorry, no international sales. Also, I do not ship to California, Hawaii, Alaska, or any of the various US territories and possessions.

Like most growers, I assume that any one of my plants may have been exposed at some point to fig mosaic virus (FMV). That said, I am less tolerant of FMV than many other growers. I regularly cull plants from my collection that show symptoms of infection with FMV, and I treat all new arrivals with recommended miticides in order to reduce the potential for mite-borne transmission of FMV to my established trees. I can tell you that this young plant has never shown symptoms of FMV infection, and I believe that it is virus-free, but I cannot guarantee this because FMV may be present in an individual asymptomatically.

Shipping to US addresses only, excluding California, Hawaii, Alaska, and territories and possessions. No international sales. Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for your interest.
