NOTE: Puyo Puyo~n, Puyopuyo Fever 1&2, and Madou Monogatari Ongakukan RETURNS PLUS are the only releases I have in FLAC, and are courtesy of CGBS. If you happen to have a lossless encode of any of the other releases (official preferably) found here that you're willing to share, please feel free to do so.

As a final notice, this thread is very image-heavy, even though most of them weight less than 200 kilobytes, and by about four or so megabytes combined, which is not that much these days.

If you're wondering about the actual album itself; it only haves very few songs some of which are mostly karaoke. This one is pretty much all the variations (That I have) of this one song! The original is there, acid dub, and king. Everything else was found at random, so to put it simply yes it's a compilation.

PS: The reference link is there solely for that, reference. Certainly the note contained here is enough to signify this isn't official.

You know when I look at this collection and mine. I always wondered why the first 2 games never got an official release. SUN gets DX Complete 3, Yon has that. Although 1 & 2 weren't even considered? Hell 2 was favorable by fans, and yet Compile never bothered with it? That astounds me really... I would like to contribute, but if it has to be CD quality and an actual release then I'm out of the question sadly. ;P Well except for one... >-> But I highly doubt it's important! ^_^

BOSS LADY
06-29-2013, 07:10 PM
By 1 and 2 you mean this (http://vgmdb.net/album/9747) and this (http://vgmdb.net/album/9749)?

And while I'm not an audiophile to an extreme, I do nitpick when the quality is substantially low; I usually don't bother with anything below 192kbps. However, you are more than free to post whatever you may have, as I'm sure they will be appreciated.

Wonderful! Thank you for these.

Arle
06-29-2013, 10:11 PM
Ah yes, DX 1 is basically songs taken straight from Mega Tracks, RaveRevenge, and this (http://vgmdb.net/album/20970)... DX 2 is Re-Rearrangements of the Saturn Ver. of PuyoPuyo Tsuu. (Sort of) If it's alright I can put up the Waku Puyo Dungeon Soundtrack that I have, but remember it isn't in perfect quality by any means. However considering how rare it is I'm sure it won't be that troublesome!

BOSS LADY
06-29-2013, 11:45 PM
Sure, feel free to share that and whatever else you'd like, I'll add it to the OP. Hopefully GoldfishX posts a rip of his disc someday.

Arle
06-30-2013, 12:46 AM
I doubt it sadly... I looked over his page; his recent post was the same day he stated that he has the CD. Still maybe if I find an actual copy (for cheap price that is.) I can replace my current one. $300 for PuyoPuyo Tsuu DX?! *Facepalms* nevermind...
Quick question: Is it only the official soundtracks or can it be any in general so longs it related?

BOSS LADY
06-30-2013, 01:53 AM
Yeah, I would never spend that kind of money on anything of that sort - only crazies do that.

Thanks for the link; it has been added to the OP. And yes, either official or unofficial (gamerips) has a place here.

EDIT: By the way, I downloaded and checked the soundtrack, and it is at 192kbps. I'm not sure how you got it, and if it's a transcode of some sort (too lazy to check), but that, in my book, is good quality.

Is that so? Alright then I'll contribute as well! Also one more question would Madou Monogatari music and any Discstation music be contributed as well, or should we just stick just with PuyoPuyo for the time being?

And sure, feel free to shoot me a line or two.

Cool beans. Actually there's always something I hated about that album... Track 13 an "instrumental" which pretty much equates ridding the main melody of the original song. Why did he do it? I may never know...

Taking dramas and doujins out of the equation, I would dare to say this is quite an assortment of Puyo Puyo material that borderlines in completion. I would like to give my sincere thanks to Arle for being generous and helping the thread grow in such a short amount of time.

Kind of ironic... The day I start contributing something everything falls apart! How odd!

Coincidence? =P

Don't thank me just yet! There's still a plenty of Soundtracks and random arrangements that have yet to be given to others! But nether the less just seeing the possibly happy faces of others finally getting something special makes this like an early Christmas or something! XP

Red Hot Fire Dance Variations

REFERENCE (http://vgmdb.net/album/13749)
Courtesy of Arle.
If you're wondering about the actual album itself; it only haves very few songs some of which are mostly karaoke. This one is pretty much all the variations (That I have) of this one song! The original is there, acid dub, and king. Everything else was found at random, so to put it simply yes it's a compilation.
So, do you have the single or just this compilation?, shouldn't the reference link be removed?

BTW, Waku Puyo Dungeon Ketteiban Original Soundtrack must be a transcode; possibly from a Gogo or Xing encoder at 112 or 128kbps, is quite noticeable. A LAME 192 MP3 delivers better quality.
Until a FLAC, a CD image or another rip directly from the actual CD appear, this is the best we have, 'guess is better than nothing (although the transcoding issue sure bugs me).

I understand if it isn't perfect... personally when I first found the whole soundtrack (It was an SWF file). I was a bit skeptical about using it, but I thought to myself considering the rarity of this cd. Which went around for $170 at a japanese auction site. I'm sure a lot of people would be more happier on having it at a decent quality at best really. Then again that's how I look at things most of the time.

You did Listen to the video right? It's Puyo Puyo CD's Brave of PuyoPuyo. Well more specifically the few songs that actually got a CD quality remix...

Anyway my friend gave me his rom, and I can conclude that the one I uploaded at the moment is the PC-98 ver.
The MSX Ver. is toned down compared to the original release. In other words more cutesy, less blood, and the music sounds a little worse to be honest...

No dear, that's why I mentioned being swamped with stuff, and therefore leaving the inspection of the video in your hands.

Anyway, I had a feeling it would end up being PC-98, so it all worked itself out.

I just want to say this right now. There won't be any updates from me for a little awhile. Mainly because GameGear Music files are the second most pickiest files to work with... with that said though once I deal with said problem there will be a lot of gamerips coming soon! So until then enjoy the small break for now!

Also 1-2-3's music is MSX NOT PC-98! Just thought I correct on that! ^^'

Don't worry I found out he actually had something to with compressing the music in the Saturn Ver. Which explains why DX. 3 is based of that one!

Puyo Puyo Box? That wouldn't be important really. All the tracks are mostly straight from Puyo Puyo 1 & Tsuu (Megadrive) and Waku Puyo Dungeon Ketteiban (Not all, but some tracks).

Oh, tagging. Fortunately, most of the games have official titles. Jiyuji posted the one of Sorcery Story 1-2-3, I know a site that covers the majority of them, is in japanese though (http://suwa3.web.fc2.com/data-kan/data/en2_bg00.html). Ports tend to have generic names if it includes new music, or no names at all.

If you feel like needing something from there, I'll try to guide you.

Ports tend to have generic names if it includes new music, or no names at all.

Sadly that's true. I try being creative with names most of the time, but keeping in tow to when it plays for the most part. Although it's a hassle honestly, but I found it better personally! Every time I do this it keeps making me wish they had an official release... not just Madou Monogatari, but a lot of games in general that has great music never get much attention all! Mostly do to the fact it either didn't sell well, or no one bothered. When they did you end up having Waku Puyo Dungeon Ketteiban's Soundtrack for $450... :/

I was referring to the list found on the link I posted before. Most of them have an official tracklist, the ones that haven't, simple titles.

It wasn't my intention to generalize. I appreciate any kind of gamerip, if they're nameless I don't have problem in tag them myself.

Oops, I wasn't very clear on that sentence. I was referring to some spin-offs for PuyoPuyo games. We're about done with Madou Monogatari pretty much! At least what I can find... I'm sure there's other ones, but there's no more I have regarding the series.

Well I don't like spoiling surprises, but I'll give you a hint! There both handhelds. No, they aren't Gamegear! >.< They are two games that still to this make me question their very existence! >_> Although one of them has a "connection" to a certain Saturn game... I'll leave the rest to you all!

One must be Arle's Adventure, I forgot you commented about this a few pages back. The other could be "that" other GB spin-off. =P

You are indeed correct! Although I finished "that" game a few weeks ago already. Arle's Adventure is going to take awhile, since the only reference I can find of it has... 40 Parts?! And there 20-30 minutes each?!? O mi gawd! :O

*Edit* I just finished Arle's Adventure! Huzzah~!....... but I won't be able to upload it until next week or so. Before you get your torches and start hunting me down. I promise you this and the other one will be uploaded when I come back! You have my word! :)

OP updated accordingly...and boy am I getting sick of ImageShack screwing up images.

It's the best boxshot of I can really find honestly... I don't even know if its the actually cover it! >_<

That's as good as it gets - it was packaged with the Game Gear in Japan (http://www.gamefaqs.com/gamegear/916376-gamegear/images/box-303386).

Hello Everybody!!~ Did ya miss me? *Dead Silence* I guess not. Anyway I do apologize for the long absence! I thought my personal affairs would last a week, but it took more longer than necessary... However I have returned! Worry not I'll be posting the remaining games I have... tomorrow! I know-I know, but I just got back. All I ask is some patience! I keep my word to it! :)

*Edit*

As I promised today is today! (??) So I bring you the 2 of 5 soundtracks that I have left! What's that? Only 2? Don't worry I'll be posting the next 2 by tomorrow, and the last one being the biggest and special gift to you all! So here we go!

Adventures of Arle (GBC)

Download (http://www.mediafire.com/download/150aoa5lizjzs2a/Adventures_of_Arle_Original_Soundtrack.zip)

I just realized this game has quite a few names: Arle's Adventure, Adventures of Arle, Arle no Bouken - Mahou no Jewel, or rarely Arle's Adventure! The Quest for the Magic Jewels!

Puyo Puyo Gaiden - Puyo Wars (GBC)

Download (http://www.mediafire.com/download/h51uvi6uusua81g/Puyo_Puyo_Gaiden_-_Puyo_Wars_Soundtrack.zip)

Hmmm.... I can't really say much about this game honestly. It's just a plain old RTS game. Although it does have some unique connections to the Madou world itself. Hell Arle & Carbuncle make a cameo in the game! Although Arle is referred to as Yuusha, but I'll stop here since this would get long.

*Edit Again*

First off I just want to say I miscounted... there's 4 left not 5! So here's the second to last... Soundtrack? Album? Gamerip? Never mind you get the idea! >_<

Download (http://www.mediafire.com/download/lrdpsiscf7j7z14/MSX-Fami_of_PuyoPuyo_Soundtrack.zip)

This is in fact is the original PuyoPuyo! not the arcade game we all know, but the MSX/Famicom release! Annnnnd.... it's nothing special. It's basically an endless endurance round or some task rounds. that's really about it. Still good music regardless!

*Edit-Edit, Again and Again!*

Ok guys this is my final release! It sucks it has to end now, but really there's really so much I have. So I bring you...

Katsumi Tanaka Greatest Hits 1989~2012

*Re-uped* (Corrected some names)

Part 1 (http://www.mediafire.com/download/9cujagad1chado6/TKGH_Part_1.zip)

Part 2 (http://www.mediafire.com/download/7p493a764dsit7j/TKGH_Part_2.zip)

This is one huge compilation album. It contains songs that Katsumi Tanaka sang, composed, arranged, released, or anything in between! There is in fact a similar album released called "Tanaka Katsumi Greatest Hits 1989-2001, but really it's worthless. It only has 12 tracks if I recall most of them being nothing particularly special. This album may have been originally a multi volume conisdering one of the variations of Red Hot Fire Dance has the subtitle of "tkgh vol.1". Though it seems like that never came to fruition.

Anyway that is it everyone! I have nothing more to bring to the table! I hope you all enjoy these ridiculous amount of music! And I'll be heading off doing other releases on my own time! (Whenever life stops bugging me...) So long folks! *Rides off to the sunset.*

Wow, what a galactic collection (archived size is 6.39GB with FLAC)! Thank you so much :D I never would've thought that Puyo Puyo could have so much music going for it.

Ahyayayaya... I FINALLY come back, and now both my account and Mediafire go boom on everything. *Sigh* Such anger this brings me. All that hard work gone to waste. HOWEVER I still have all the files. (Why would I even delete them to begin with?) Whether I should make a new forum for that is right or not is beyond me honestly, but if you all want me too I shall. Until then I'll continue searching this large world for more obscure Albums and such. So long for now!

Every time I look at this thread I keep getting the urge to just do a do over. Sadly I don't have all the rips in here. (Fever 1 & 2 DS, Puyopuyo! 15th DS, Puyo Puyo 7 DS, and Puyopuyo!! 20th DS are the ones.) I have everything else at least.

I especially looking for 'Red Hot Fire Dance / Katsumi Tanaka' and 'Katsumi Tanaka Greatest Hits' on page 4.

I hope you have that both. or just 'Red Hot Fire Dance' only.

I have about 97% of the albums that are posted here. Except for the ones that I mention from the previous post.

As for the 2 you mention they're not exactly the "real" albums themselves, but those are compilations.
Red Hot Fire Dance - Most of the variations of it that I happen to found at the time.
KTGH - Unlike the original that has 12 songs I believe? The one I have is a galore of songs that he did. Hence the cover I used has "1989-2012"

Confound it Mediafire!! *Sigh* Apparently that site is having problems with some of the albums. They are stuck in the "Queued" bug... Yay...

*Edit* Never mind I think I found the problem. Apparently having kanji in some folders is making Mediafire go derpy. Lovely.
Still can't figure out why 2 folders that don't even have kanji in it still has problems. I'll figure out something! (I Hope)

No need really I made a "revival" thread if you will, and already post up to Tsuu. However the only one I can't seem to find is Puyo Puyo Fever for the GBA.

*Edit* Forgot to link the darn thread I was referring to. Here (Thread 174581).

Just for future readers! Now if you excuse me I might have to make a grill cheese sandwich.
