Okra Ladies Fingers Abelmoschus Esculentus Seeds

Packet of 25+ seeds which is plenty for most folks!

This one is the famed “Clemson Spineless” variety, and it produces huge big plants with lots and lots of pods.
I only save seeds from the best plants, so this particular line is constantly getting improved for hardiness, size and general vigor.
The pods are great when small and tender, just use them as you would any other stirfry vegetable.
Once they get a bit of size about them they are best slow cooked in curries and stews, especially in vegetarian dishes.
They are a great addition to anything really, as they really thicken up sauces and give simple meals a bit of oomph!
The seeds can be roasted and used as a substitute to coffee, and the leaves can be used like Spinach.

There is dispute over where they originated, some say Africa, some say Asia, but all agree it’s a pretty awesome plant!
Other names it is known by include Abelmoschus bammia, Abelmoschus longifolius, Abelmoschus officinalis, Abelmoschus praecox, Abelmoschus tuberculatus, Hibiscus esculentus, Hibiscus hispidissimus, Hibiscus longifolius, Hibiscus praecox, kingombo, gumbo, bamia, mbamia, bhindi, or dherosh.

The plant itself produces successive crops in good conditions and makes a great cut mulch.
There you have it.
Okra, the big ones!

Grown by me and the Mrs organically, no chems, no nasties, no problems!!!
