Perhaps the crown jewel of the 14,000-square-foot restaurant, the expansive patio at Harwood District’s Te Deseo offers unmatched city views. We suggest beginning the night with a margarita before venturing into the colorful but dimly lit restaurant for a creative Mexican meal.

Ático Fort Worth

Sunsets from the patio at Atico in Fort Worth are as big of a draw as the live music performances and tapas. Enjoy a glass of sangria with a view, and if you don’t happen to snag a spot on the patio, don’t worry — the massive greenhouse-style interior is also pretty easy on the eyes.

Dakota's Steakhouse

Traditionally, we travel up for the best views, but we’ve got to go underground for the unique perspective at Dakota’s. Take the elevator at the entrance down below street level, where the steakhouse invites you to enjoy your dinner with a water garden-style view in a dining room that feels very indoor/outdoor. The mouthwatering menu by Chef Ji Kang is worth the trip.

Terry Black's Barbecue

Terry Black’s opened up its Dallas outpost in November 2019, and it still boasts one of the best rooftop patios for sipping drinks and soaking it up with smokey barbecue. From up on the roof, meat lovers can see all of Deep Ellum and the humungous floral mural painted on the side of the neighboring Case Building apartments.

Monarch Restaurant

One of the most expensive dinners in the city is at Monarch Restaurant inside the Thompson Hotel downtown. And part of the price is the city views from the 49th floor, which are breathtaking. The natural light during golden hour makes Monarch one of the most aesthetically pleasing places to snag a table in town.

Kessaku

Kessaku is one floor up from Monarch. It’s where 360-degree views of the Dallas skyline and a plush, sexy lounge atmosphere surround lovers of sushi, sake, and wildly creative cocktails.

Sky Blossom

This hidden rooftop is tough to find but worth the effort for that picture-perfect cocktail shot. Look up, and you’ll see downtown Dallas buildings. Look down, and you’ll see The Eyeball, an iconic sculpture in the middle of downtown. Sweet, colorful cocktails are a significant draw and pair well with the restaurant’s Asian fusion fare.

Saint Rocco's New York Italian

The parking lot at Trinity Groves has a pretty excellent skyline view, but with just a bit more effort, one can head upstairs to Saint Rocco’s Rooftop Lounge, where the view is even more epic. After a drink, head inside for some old-school red sauce Italian fare.
