Sega Retro: "Dream Passport Premier is the final(?) version of Dream Passport."

"This version of the browser was marketed as "multi-platform", as while shipping on a GD-ROM intended for the Dreamcast, the disc can be read by Windows and Macintosh computers to install versions of Dream Passport for those systems."

Dream Passport for PC use, wild. and...why would you?

Dream Passport 3 came with ch@b for PC, which is sadly useless as their servers are dead. I really BADLY want to play with DP for PC, [cat with newspaper meme] I should get a copy

dream passport 3 also has the most incredible startup/shutdown sequences ever to grace a screen

Just a quick note, this is an OLD story. The events from this post are in the past and I was in my early years of uni at the time. Since then I have obtained a few more games (including Chu Chu Rocket) in my collection and currently play them online every now and then. I've also ditched the modified telephone cable in favor of a USB modem with a built-in line voltage inducer, so I can just use a regular telephone cable now!
Either way, hope you enjoy this entry. :>

So this Christmas is going to be interesting.

Today is the first time I’ve managed to connect to the Internet with my Dreamcast. Ever since childhood, I’ve always wanted to do so but didn’t really have much resources at the time. Plus, with certain games, I needed to be 13 or older and have a credit card in order to play online (coughPSOcough), when I was about a few years shy of being legally able to play online.

If you're following me, I'll hazard a guess you know about my love for Skies of Arcadia, the cult classic Dreamcast RPG. I wrote about it plenty as a journalist and what it meant to me. I'm a collector of some pretty rare memorabilia. I had the distinct honor of speaking to its producer, the late Reiko Kodama. This game is a guiding light for me.

In 2020, I started writing a novelization to explore the story in a new light and make it accessible for more people. We're 222,065 words in, totaling 24 adventurous chapters! And there's more to come!

I'd love if you checked it out. This story is dear to me, and if this version can entertain or inspire even one of you as much as it has me I would be very pleased. This project is a huge undertaking unlike anything else I've done. A bit Quixotic but I'll see if through to the end.
