This Honda Motorcycles got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1982 Honda CX500 Turbo is powered by a turbocharged and liquid-cooled 497cc V-twin mated to a five-speed transmission and is equipped with a driveshaft, electronic fuel injection, triple disc brakes, gold-finished ComStar alloy wheels, air-adjustable suspension, and both center and side stands. The seller acquired the bike in 2015 and commissioned a refurbishment that same year that reportedly included refinishing the half-faired bodywork in teal and black, reupholstering the two-up seat, and adjusting the valves along with repairing the wiring harness, overhauling the brakes and TRAC anti-dive fork, and replacing the windscreen, fuel-sending unit, chassis fasteners, fuel injectors, spark plugs, valve tappets, and tires. Work in 2023 is said to have included changing the oil, flushing the coolant, and replacing the battery. This CX500 Turbo is now offered at no reserve with a refurbishment document and a clean California title in the name of the seller’s company.

The bodywork was repaired and refinished in 2015, with a color change to teal and black with gold accents and “CX650” decals. Additional work included installing a clear windscreen, reupholstering the two-up seat, and replacing the foot-peg brackets. Features include a 5.3-gallon fuel tank, a rear grab rail, a color-keyed front fender, both center and side stands, and a half-fairing with a rectangular headlight, integrated turn signals, and dual mirrors. A close-up photo showing scrapes on the right-side fairing is provided in the gallery below.

Gold-anodized ComStar alloy wheels measuring 18″ up front and 17″ out back wear 100/90 front and 120/90 rear Avon RoadRider tires said to have been mounted in 2015. Air-adjustable suspension consists of a rebuilt TRAC anti-dive fork as well as a Pro-Link monoshock and linkage attached to the swingarm. Stopping power is provided by dual discs and black-finished two-piston calipers up front along with a matching single-disc setup out back. An overhaul of the braking system during the refurbishment is said to have included replacing the pads and the rear caliper.

The shrouded tubular handlebar fronts instrumentation consisting of an 85-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 9k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The dash also features a digital bar-style boost gauge, a digital clock, and an array of indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 26k miles, approximately 400 of which were ridden by the seller. A note on the refurbishment record states that the trip odometer reset button does not function.

The liquid-cooled and turbocharged 497cc traverse-mounted V-twin generated 19psi of maximum boost and was factory rated at 82 horsepower. The CX500 Turbo was Honda’s first motorcycle to employ electronic fuel injection, and additional features include an electric starter, four valves per cylinder, electronic ignition, and a dual-muffler exhaust system finished in black with Turbo badging. Reported work during the refurbishment included adjusting the valves, repairing the wiring harness, and replacing the fuel-sending unit, fuel injectors, valve tappets, and spark plugs. The seller states that in January 2023 the battery was replaced, the coolant was flushed, and the oil was changed. A sticking wastegate is noted on the refurbishment record.
