This Dodge Pickup got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1967 Dodge D200 Camper Special is a Sweptline crew cab pickup that is finished in red and powered by a 383ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include the Comfort and Appearance packages, white vinyl upholstery with brown inserts, towing mirrors, an AM radio, power-assisted brakes, staggered-width 16″ steel wheels, and three auxiliary fuel tanks. The truck spent time in Wyoming before it was relocated to Ohio in 2005 where it was subsequently acquired by the selling dealer in January 2022. This D200 is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, a Certicard, a sales brochure, registration documents from previous ownership, and a clean Ohio title.
The truck was reportedly refinished in red in the late 1970s and features a crew cab, a Sweptline eight-foot bed, a chrome front bumper and grille, and towing mirrors as well as Camper Special and Custom badging. A dent is visible in the center of the tailgate and additional blemishes around the truck are shown in the gallery.
Staggered-width 8-lug steel wheels wear a combination of 7.5-16″ Cooper and Goodyear front and 12-16.5″ Goodyear Super-Single rear tires. Braking is provided by power assisted drums at all four corners. Cracking is visible on the rear tires.
The cab features front and rear benches upholstered in white and brown vinyl with patterned fabric inserts. The Comfort package included a driver-side door arm rest as well as sun visors for both the driver and passenger, and the Appearance package added bright trim around the instrument cluster and control knobs along with a white two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring. Additional amenities include an AM radio and lap belts.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 49k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 383ci V8 is equipped with a two-barrel carburetor that is said to have been installed in July 2020 and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The fuel system was reportedly cleaned in 2019, and recent service is said to have include replacement of the spark plugs and plug wires as well as an oil change in 2020.
The truck was fitted with three auxiliary fuel tanks under previous ownership. Corrosion is visible on the underside, and additional photos of the chassis are viewable in the gallery.
An owner’s manual, registration documents from Wyoming, a Certicard, and a sales brochure are included in the sale.
