Congratulations to Jade Raymond and the team at Haven Studios for becoming part of the PlayStation family! Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, spread the news on the PlayStation Blog letting the world know that up-and-coming Haven Studios is now officially flying the Sony banner.

Writing on the blog, Hulst announced, “today, I’m delighted to announce that Haven Studios is officially joining PlayStation Studios! Jade Raymond brings a wealth of experience from her industry achievements and an infectious passion for creating games, and the leadership team at Haven is an equally impressive group of industry veterans who have collaborated on some of the biggest and most beloved games and franchises that many of us still enjoy today.“

Prior to announcing the formation of Haven Studios, Jade and her team began working with PlayStation Studios in early 2021 and pitched a slew of ideas that enticed Sony to make moves for a deeper partnership. Hurst adds, “From their first pitch, we were inspired by Haven’s vision for creating a modern multiplayer experience that brings gamers together in positive and meaningful ways. We were confident in their creative and technical expertise to deliver on such an ambitious project and were thrilled to invest in their journey developing a new, original IP for PlayStation. We’ve had the privilege of working closely with Haven this past year and have been impressed by the studio’s growth and progress. So now, practically on the anniversary of when we made our partnership official, it’s especially exciting to formally welcome them into the PlayStation family.”

Boss Rush Network first reported on Raymond’s new studio partnering with Sony last March. After the closure of Stadia Games and Entertainment by Google, the 25-year veteran wasted no time getting to work and forming a new studio. Raymond’s determination and experience would ultimately lead her and her team to Sony with the prospect of a new IP in the form of an upcoming AAA multiplayer experience for PlayStation Studio.
